Karate Tansei is an independent karate school which is affiliated with the FKCO (Federation Karate Camille Ohan) directed by Master Camille Ohan, 5th dan black belt. There are several karate schools in the Quebec region that are affiliated this federation. Together we participate in several activities a year which include junior regional tournaments, provincial tournaments, seminars, summer camps, kobudo training, self-defense training, and general outdoor activities.
Karate Tansei and FKCO are affiliated with WKO - World Karate Organization in Japan. The president of the WKO is Master Kenji Midori. The WKO has branches in the following ten global regions: Africa,
Asia,
Central America,
Europe,
Middle East,
North America,
Russia,
South America,
South Pacific,
and Japan.
The style of karate which is practiced is called Shinkyokushinkai which stems from Grand Master Matsutatsu Oyama's Kyokushinkai kan karate.
