Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is: training on a consistent basis, with sincere and hard working effort, will eventually bring the mind, body and spirit working in unison in anything you do. Gradually build a solid foundation at the beginning and the rest will follow.

The beauty of karate is that it is many things to many people, but at the end it is essentially a way of life. It is viewed as a sport in the competitive world. For the rest, it’s a fitness program, a way to defend yourself, a way to tune your body and mind and a great way to relieve stress. Consistent training will bring you self confidence and the energy you need in your everyday life. The only prerequisite you will need is patience and an open mind. The rest will come gradually.

As the founder of Kyokushinkai, Mas Oyama once said, “You learn the basics after one thousand days of training. You master your mind after ten thousand days of training.”
Everyone wears the same uniform and trains in the same spirit, same objectives -- for personal development. There is no age in karate, only the intention to achieve your goal. Read special section on teaching at different age groups.
